More than two decades of excellence

Kate has been a prominent member of the South Australian broomball community for more than 20 years.

An elite-level player throughout her career, she has consistently been selected to represent South Australia at the Australian National Broomball Championships, as well as Australia at IFBA World Championships.

Leadership on and off the ice

Kate’s contribution to broomball extends well beyond her achievements as a player.

Throughout her career, she has served as captain of the Australian women’s team, as well as captain of local and state teams. Her leadership, experience and commitment have made her an important presence within the sport at every level.

Representing Australia internationally

Kate has represented Australia at numerous IFBA-sanctioned international events, including Vancouver, Canada, in 2008; Innsbruck, Austria, in 2010; Tomakomai, Japan, in 2014; and Chamonix, France, in 2024.

She has also continued to develop her knowledge of the sport through initiatives such as the IFBA Coaches Clinic.

A lasting contribution to broomball

Beyond competition, Kate has dedicated considerable time to the development and administration of broomball.

She has served on numerous local and national association boards and committees and completed several terms as President of the Broomball Association of South Australia (BASA).

Kate currently serves as Referee in Chief for BASA and as Chair of the Women’s Broomball Forum, continuing her longstanding commitment to strengthening and advancing the sport.

A well-rounded legacy

As a player, captain, administrator, referee and advocate, Kate has contributed to broomball in virtually every aspect of the game.

Her achievements on the ice, combined with more than two decades of leadership and service off the ice, reflect an exceptional commitment to broomball at the local, state, national and international levels.
