Registration
The following information pertains to event and team registration. If you run into problems during the registration process please contact the Web Administrator and we will assist you. Upon completion of your team registration, an IFBA representative will contact you by email. Please read the following instructions and click Register at the bottom of the page.
All teams must register through the online registration system (https://worldbroomball.org/) to be accepted into the 2026 World Broomball Championships competition categories. Please note that this is the only official entry system (entries will not be accepted by the 2026 Host Committee or by mail or any other mechanism, to ensure quality control).
Competition Categories for the event are:
- Men
- Women
- Mixed
- Men’s Masters
- Women’s, Mixed & Masters Categories are non contact.
- Masters Category: Players must be 40 years of age or over on or before the start date of the tournament.
Cost
Cost for Registration for the 2026 event is ONETHOUSAND FIVE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($1,500.00 CAD) for teams using Host Hotels and TWOTHOUSAND FIVE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($2,500.00 CAD) if teams choose to stay at other hotels.
This will be strictly enforced and monitored by the local accommodating committee.
Team will be accepted once registration funds have cleared the IFBA account.
Minimum Team Size
IFBA competition policy requires Minimum Team roster to be 16 players. Teams arriving with fewer players will not be eligible to participate. This rule is in the best interest of the teams for the safety of players due to the amount of games played over the 5 full days of competition. Any deviation from this should be directed to the IFBA for their approval.

Important notes about accommodations:
- Selection
- Listed host accommodations are IFBA approved.
- We encourage teams to use the Hotel contact information to book your rooms after registration is complete.
- Teams who choose not to use IFBA-approved accommodations will be subject to an additional registration fee, as noted in the Registration Policy for this event.
- If choosing alternate accommodations, a host committee member will contact you to follow up on the accommodations your team has chosen.
- Damages
- The IFBA and Host Committee will not be held responsible for any damages as a result of team behavior in the hotels. This will be the responsibility of the team and guests staying in the damaged room.
- Should damages result during the competition, the person(s) responsible and incident will be reviewed by the IFBA Executive for possible disciplinary action and the responsible person(s) may be terminated from the event and forfeit any opportunity to participate in future IFBA sanctioned events.
Event Referees
All officials must contact IFBA Chief Official Doug Nixon at chiefofficial@internationalbroomball.org prior to acceptance. Information pertaining to specific costs, accommodations, per diems and transportation will be distributed by the Chief Official.
Practice Ice

Team Souvenir Exchanges
Teams will have time to exchange team souvenirs with competing teams prior to each game. To ensure there is no disruption in the game schedules, the process will be:
- Captains and Alternate(s) do one exchange at centre ice prior to the game.
Banquet Information
Banquet tickets must be paid for in advance and are included on the registration form.
- Teams will be required to order banquet tickets online prior to the event. A minimum purchase of 16 tickets per team is required.
- The cost for banquet tickets is Seventy dollars ($70.00 CAD) per person.
